Mr. Hathaway is the owner and founder of Hathaway LLC. In 2011, 2012 and 2013 Hathaway LLC was named the fastest growing privately owned company in Kern County by Inc. Magazine and was named the TEEMCO 2013 West Coast E&P Company of the Year. Chad is the co founder/President of the Kern County Energy Foundation and the Eastside Water Management Area.
Prior to starting Hathaway LLC, Mr. Hathaway spent several years in various oil and gas fields, learning operations first hand. He also worked in the directional drilling business, before founding Payzone Direction Services. This wide array of experience has provided him the knowledge and ability to gain a competitive advantage in the industry. Chad attended Bakersfield College and California State University, Fresno majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Business.
Eugene (Gene) Voiland recently retired as chairman of the Board of Directors for Valley Republic Bank Corp. He is also the retired Founding President and CEO of Aera Energy LLC.
He served and is now retired from directorships on for-profit boards of Saltchuk Resources LLC and Berry Corporation. He remains active in community organizations in Bakersfield, California, where he lives with his wife, Linda.
Prior to Aera, Mr. Voiland had a distinguished 28-year career at Shell, working as an engineer and manager throughout the United States. He also held senior management positions within Shell, having been appointed General Manager of Engineering and General Manager of Corporate Planning. He is active in state and community affairs, serving on several local non-profit boards, and is the past Chairman of the California State Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Voiland is a 1969 graduate of Washington State University with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. He’s a past member of the WSU Foundation’s Board of Directors and a current member and past chairman of the Foundation Investment Committee.
Mr. McLoughlin has served as the Land Manager for Kern Enterprises, LLC and its affiliate, Hathaway LLC, since February 2017. He previously worked for Bonanza Creek Energy, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, and as a title landman in the Rocky Mountain region. Mr. McLoughlin has a B.B.A. in Land & Energy Management from Colorado Mesa University, where he attended on a baseball scholarship.
